Touch surfaces and ubiquitous computing. I’m going through the exercise at the moment with portable touchscreen communicators and business enablers. I’ll relate my experiences with the Samsung Galaxy Tab, Slate etc when I’ve spent enough time with the devices to form a full picture. For now, just a short video relating to a view – by Corning – about the potential applications of touch interfaces and  – of course – glass in the future. Though a lot of what is shown is already partially or wholly developed, cost factors make the everyday image presented almost prohibitive at present. Some of the other ideas work well in an ideal world, but may have some real-world limitations (vandalism etc) that need to be dealt with…
